Former GFP Youth Intern, Adam Richardson writes about what his time at GFP meant to him: There is a place from my childhood that helped shape who I am today. I didn’t fit in very many places in middle and high school (shocker, I know…) because I was passionate about things that weren’t always “main stream”. One of those things was being drug and alcohol free – and I found a family of people dedicated to educating and helping teens in the Upstate in that regard. They introduced me to the non-profit world, they gave me my first job, they let me speak at schools and conferences all across South Carolina and even took me to places around the country to see just how big the drug prevention network really is. I owe the Greenville Family Partnership and the individuals who mentored me there more than I can say. Today, Dec. 1, is #GivingTuesday a great way to show support for nonprofits that are working hard year round to make a difference. Will you do me the honor of clicking the link for GFP and giving at least $10 to say thank you to them for me? http:www.gfpdrugfree.org
